What does she look like ?
Abyss looks like a standard female Reefennec, maybe a little slimer. She's 1 m tall, 1,50 m long (including 55 cm for the tail), and she weighs 15 kilos. Like "normal" fennecs, her ears are long : 25 cm long. Her tooth are similar to other canines' ones. The paws are thin. Her front paws have black pads, retractable claws and palms between her "fingers" ; her back paws are webbed. She has two pairs of black gills at the level of the neck, but she also has lungs, so she can breath under water and in the open air ! She has tail fins, and a fin on her head. She doesn't have fur, properly speaking, excepted at the level of the ears, the elbows and the chest : the rest of her body seems to have the same texture than a dolphin's skin. Abyss' body is blue, with a black line which begins on her black nose, to the end of her tail, following the spine. Her eyes are golden while her fins and palms are black, and on her back and her tail, there are black and cyan stripes. Her eyes and her cyan stripes shine when she's furious.
Her tail is very muscular and powerful, and Abyss uses it as a propeller and a rudder. Also, she can stick her ears on her head while she swims, for more aerodynamism. They often show her mood.
What kind of person is she ?
Abyss is somewhere between extroversion and introversion : she can be sociable and cheerful, but sometimes, she needs to be alone, to revitalize herself. She tends to speak with a little voice to strangers, and she seems reserved when she meet someone for the first time. But the more she knows someone, the more she'll be playful and affectionate with them. She enjoys learning new things, and she's always attentive to what's happening around her. As a consequence, she can be really curious sometimes, especially when she meet a human or an animal of an other breed for the first time. She's rarely sarcastic, even with her friends.
She always takes time to make a choice, and sometimes, she blows the slightest thing out of proportion. She takes to heart too much the criticisms of the ones she appreciates. The Reefennec cries easily when she sees something sad, but she dislikes when someone point it out to her, and always pretends she's not crying even if it's obvious. When she feels oppressed, physically or mentally, she panics or gets angry : one thing she loves is to feel free, in every sense of the word. Due to this, she's somewhat claustrophobic.
Abyss is really kind and helpful : for example, if she sees someone drowning, she will help him immediately. And she often dares not to tell the truth if it's embarrassing or hurtful. But if someone attacks her, she'll defend herself bravely ; and if she sees someone attacking an other person, she will defend the one being attacked. She's faithful, and would never give the ones she loves up. When Abyss realizes she did something wrong, she can't help apologizing many times, and she does everything she can to fix her mistakes. When someone compliment her, she's embarassed and stammers.
She loves swimming under water during hours and hours, but she absolutely hates the deafening noises and shouts, because her delicate ears can't handle them. Also, seeing people suffering gratuitously inspire her anger and terror. The Reefennec is patient, but there are limits to her patience, so be careful !
